Polythene flowers

Tired of loneliness and lack of craft supplies has made me use the least expensive Rag way to make crafts. I have used Paper rolls as the stem and polythene bags for the flowers and stem wraps, and some thread to hold the polythene together. And tadaaa my polythene flowers.. Loving them and I started giving it out to friends houses near by and they are loving it too.

Fun is some of them started collecting colored polythene bags for me so I can use them for these, and my cupboard is stacked up with bags of polythene.. :)

Bottle and rice

Hi world,

the place I'm put up rite now does not have any craft store near by, and I haven't got an opportunity to loaf about to find one such place where I can buy some materials and hence need to use those items that I can find in my grocery store.

I used tightly rolled Newspaper rolls as the stick to make the stem of the flowers, and polythene grocery bags for the flowers, bugs and the wrap for the stem. cleaned an olive oil bottle for the vase and filled it with food colored rice and acyrlic colored rice layering it up neatly.

hope you all like it, follow my page if you do.

Christmas

Jingle bells Jingle bells jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to ride on that one horse open slide...

My Newspaper weaved christmas tree.. Thank you to the crafter who gave me this idea, (sorry that I lost the paper in which i noted down her details).

The recycled Powder bottle and glue bottle turns into my snow men for christmas..

this little dancing girl skirt i cut out of paper, her head is made of styrofoam cuttings, and her body is made of tooth pics tied and wrapped in a white polythene strips..

I got this panda in a store in RAK mall, UAE.

Hope you all had a great christmas, and blessings form Jeba for a fabulous year ahead..

Yet another bottle

Yet another recycled bottle craft. I'm obsessed in doing this. This time I recycled a nail polish remover bottle. Dint have the patience to wait till the liquid in it to be over. (Painted it with the contents)

Unfortunately my craft varnish id not working out the pearl acrylic colors(fevikryl) that i used. the paint is changing colors and hence i had to repaint it and skipped the varnish step. Hope it lasts with out the varnish.

I'm traveling tomorrow and wont be a able to post for few days until i get settled down with my husband in UAE. Excited with the travel alone to a  new country. It's my first time outside India. :)

Bottle painting

 Good Morning World..

Happy to display my new craft, and I'm thankful to Meenakshi Designs for their lovely art that inspired me to do this.

First I forced my Mom to empty a half filled honey bottle into some other container and give me the empty bottle. Cleaned it and dried it in Sun for some time, and then started the painting.

I used 3D out liner, Acrylic Colors, and 3D glitter Glue. Painted the acrylic colors first, followed by the out-liners and glue. Thought I'll varnish them for a shine but it dint work out well rather started to look messy.

I've seen some Christmas Bottle art on Pinterest (see my board) Could not wait to try it with lights, even before the paint was dry i tried on the lights and hurrah I'm all excited and waiting for Christmas to come already.

Please share in our valuable feedback so i may improve and follow my blog if you like it.

Thank you and happy blogging. :)

Edit: 22/11/14
My mother is a coin collector hence cut open the bottle cap and changed it into a coin bottle.. ;) (not skilled enough to do it neatly, got to find a way to hide the dents.)
